Chapter Five - Sleeping rough

Aurath woke slowly the next morning. He had trained late into the night with Digit and decided a patch of low bushed would make a nice little place to make a bed for the night. The first thing he did was Put his little stove on and a small travel kettle full of water. Next Aurath checked his Belt to make sure his Pokemon were still in place before calling them both out.

Joy: Togi togi Kisssss!

Joy shot stright up into the crisp morning air and then off toward the sunrise.

Aurath could remember the first time Joy had raced off like this. He had been shocked and upset. He though Joy had left him, but a few hours later Joy and come back looking extremely happy for herself.

A little while after Aurath learned that Togekiss were pokemon that brought Joy and hope to places that needed it. Not it was a reguler thing for Joy to fly off for hours.

Digit watched Aurath intently as normal and Aurath being himself couldn't help talking to his new little Pokemon. Digit seemed happy for the contact and the interaction and Aurath soon began to learn what nosies Porygon made depending on its mood. Digit made a rather sweet Bleeping when he was happy, a crackle when he was angry and a werring when he was ready for battle.

After some food and a cup of tea Aurath made his way into the ong grass for another day of training, sometimes stopping to take a seat by the side of the road for a rest, to heal Digit and feed.

As the day wore on Aurath found himself getting closer and closer to the next town.

Aurath: Looks like a comfortable night in a bed tonight my little friend, warm shower and a good meal.
