Lolen Adventure : Chapter 12: A High Flying Sky Fight

I look down at the pokemon feasting hungrily on the food provided.

Me: Alright guys! We got a long battle tomorrow! Now! I think I am going with...Sun first! Then....


----------------------The next morning

Corentin Feng: My name is Corentin Feng. Hmpf. I take it you are here to challenge me? Fine. This had best be a good battle.

Angus: This will be a 3 on 3 battle. Our challenger, Victory Soroa, may use substitutions. The Gym leader will not be capable of substitutions. Alright! Begin!

Me: Time to shine, Sun!

Corentin Feng: Now. Go! Slash!

Slash: Scyyy!

Sun: Dewww.

Corentin Feng: Start with a Swords Dance!

Slash begins to spin in an impressive Swords dance.

Me: Sun! While it is using swords dance, jump into the vortex and use water gun!

Sun jumps into vortex and uses water gun, stopping Slash from completing Swords dance!

Me: Awesome Sun!

Corentin Feng: Hmmm. Interesting move....

Me: Alright! Follow up with a a jumping razor shell!

Corentin Feng: Not so fast! Slash use slash!

Slash quickly uses slash, and Sun falls on one knee.

Sun: Dewww....

Me: No! Sun! Dig!

Sung digs into the earth quickly and Slash begins to look around.

Corentin Feng: You apparently don't know your types.

Me: Not so fast...Sun! Go!

Sun comes up right behind Slash and uses razor shell!

Me: Surprise!

Slash falls to ground and is cleverly defeated.

Me: Yeah! Sun! Ready. Who is next I wonder?

Corentin Feng: Hm...What a nice surprise. Good luck pulling it off again. Go. Crunch!

Me: Hm...A ground and flying types. Sun! Start off with a spinning water gun! Protect yourself from incoming attacks!

Sun begins to spin on her back and use water gun as an offensive and defensive attack.

Crunch tries to come in close but is deflected by water.


Corentin Feng: Grr...Clever trick indeed. You are clearly full of tricks. Now try this for size. Crunch! Zoom down center!

Crunch zooms straight down the vortex and gets right into Suns face.

Me: Sun! Stop and use water gun straight up!

Sun quickly stops and launches a quick water gun right into Crunch's face

Me: Now! Finish with a Razor shell!

Corentin Feng: Grrr. Crunch! When it comes in close, poison jab!

Crunch: Glii!

Sun comes in for a razor shell, but is intercepted and hit by Poison jab!

Corentin Feng: now! Finish with acrobatics!

Crunch zooms towards Sun and then evades and flies up higher. Crunch then zooms straight down and hits Sun right into the ground.

Sun tries to get up but falls.

Corentin Feng: Ha. Now I have beaten 1 of you pokemon. Angus? Sudden death?

Angus: Sun is unable to battle. Crunch is the winner of the match. Please choose your next pokemon. The score is 1-1. Corentin Feng, Victory. Choose your next and final pokemon that will determine the battle. This is now a Sudden death match! Whoever has their pokemon last standing wins the match!

Corentin Feng: My choice is clear. Jet!

Me: Ey!

Angus: Begin!

Me: Ey! Fly up!

Ey flies up high into the sky.

Corentin Feng: Jet! Follow with Extreme speed!

Me: Ey! Wait for it...NOW! Dodge with quick attack then come in from behind with an aerial ace!

Ey cleverly dodges and maneuvers with quick attack followed by Aerial ace!

Corentin Feng: Unavoidable!

Me: Direct hit!

Jet falls to the ground and struggles up but gets into the air again.

Corentin Feng: Now! Why not show them YOUR Aerial ace!

Me: Err...Ey! Fly right down!

Corentin Feng: (What is she planning...? Ah! She is trying to lure Jet into the ground for a crash! Interesting...) Jet! Stop and land!

Jet lands quickly and Ey pauses.

Me: (He wants me to come in close...I know this trick....) Ey! Don't go near! (Hm...I could fly up, he may come in close for that...maybe close enough for steel wing!) Ey! Fly up!

Corentin Feng: (Aha! Perfect opportunity.) Jet! Follow it and use drain punch!

Me: (He is coming in) Alright! AERIAL ACE!

Jet stops, surprised, as Ey raced forward and quickly tackles Jet into the ground.

Me: Yeah!

Corentin Feng: Gah!

Angus: ...! Jet is unable to battle! Ey is the winner! Meaning the win goes to Victory Soroa!

Corentin Feng: Return Jet. You soared high today, but one soared higher...And in honor of your fleeting heights, Soroa, you have earned the Soar badge. Thank you for battling me. I know I must improve even more before I battle you again. Now. Since you have obtained the Soar badge, all outsiders up to level 30 will obey you you can now use the HM Fly outside of battle. Soroa. I sense your greatness and I understand you will only keep getting stronger. And your kindness and understanding will increase as your journey continues. Now good luck, Soroa. Now. The next town with a Gym is...Nebula Town! But you must go through Toge Forest and the old ruins along Route 4.

Me: *Yawns* That was a long match. We'll leave first thing in the morning. I'll down to the lobby and get some food for you guys.

I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen to get pokemon food.

???: Hey! Did you just come out of the gym?

Me: Yes...Why?

???: My name is AX and I've been dying to meet you.
